Why the role?
Working as part of a Configuration Management team within the Centre of Engineering you will provide technical authoring services. You will be responsible for the creation, update, repair and maintenance of Royal New Zealand Navy (RNZN) Technical Publications and Babcock NZ business process documentation to defined international and RNZN standards to ensure timely delivery of engineering change projects and technical information to the RNZN vessels and commercial customers.
You will work closely with project managers, engineers and OEMs to obtain technical information and will ensure published technical documentation is maintained under strict configuration and version control.
You will have previous technical writing experience, preferably within an engineering environment. You should be familiar with Adobe authoring suite of applications and STE-100 Simplified Technical English and be capable of compiling high quality technical documentation with strong attention to detail and an analytical approach to your work.
