Naval Ship Management (NSM) is a Joint Venture between Babcock and UGL and currently has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Site & Materials Coordinator to join our Landing Helicopter Dock Project in Garden Island, NSW.

The Site and Materials Coordinator coordinates all on-site logistics involving facilities, works stations, vehicles, NSM network ICT connection, etc.  The Site and Materials Coordinator will perform duties at an operational level in direct support of the LHD ACPC Team during the mobilisation phases of the Phase In.  On completion of the Phase In Period, this role will transition to the direct support of production activities, contributing to the management and accountability of subcontractor materials and project services required in support of NSM repair and maintenance activities.

The key accountabilities for this new position will include but not be limited to:

  • Assist with the planning and mobilisation of staff to the relevant NSM LHD ACPC sites;

  • Manage NSM LHD ACPC site amenities, plant and equipment;

  • Source all items required to support the phase in activities;

  • Collection from warehouse of all items transferred from other NSM facilities;

  • Submission, monitoring and issue of NSM RFAs for stores and equipment requests.

The ideal candidate, you will ideally have the following skills and experience:

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Suitable experience in a similar role

  • SAP and MILIS experience

  • Prior experience in Defence

  • Must either hold, or be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance

  • Forklift Licence (desirable)

  • Current Motor Vehicle Driver’s Licence (desirable)
