We currently have an engaging and newly created opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Planner & Scheduler to join our high performing Marine team based in our Osborne facility. This role will undertake planning and scheduling activities for the refurbishment of Mechanical & Electrical equipment across the Babcock Marine environment

In order to succeed in this role, you will be able to:

  • Perform all duties in line with Babcock and client Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality management policies and procedures.

  • Utilise all available business systems tools and technology available to streamline data processing tasks, to include (but not limited to) ERP systems, BMS, SharePoint, Office suite etc.

  • Support the business to maintain a 95% or greater On-Time delivery performance, escalating At-Risk deliveries to ensure remediation steps are developed.

  • Perform maintenance planning and scheduling of tasks utilising business systems to include work pack creation and review using Product Structures or Standard Job library parts.

  • Liaise with other internal and external stakeholders to ensure data accuracy

  • Produce and maintain the master schedule for all Planned Maintenance Activity work, updating with Adhoc work as required.

  • Conduct Production Readiness reviews for upcoming work to ensure minimal schedule impact.

  • Forecast and load level all planned activities within the master schedule, in order to balance resource demand.

  • Review and provide feedback to Operations team on resource availability to conduct adhoc break in work and also to review schedule impact for Emergent Work demands.

  • Conduct regular schedule look ahead meetings with all key stakeholders.

  • Liaise with Workshop Supervisor to review progress against schedule and provide schedule recovery plans when required.

  • Maintain Product Structure Operations to include resource hours and task information.

  • Produce and Review Purchase Requisition demands for accuracy ensuring all relevant drawings, permits/concession, materials and OQE are referenced.

  • Support Quality department with production of Manufacturers Data Report documentation for submission to customer.

About You

Babcock are seeking an experienced and energetic Planning and Scheduling professional that has a proven record of accomplishment and development within a complex technical environment and will have supporting tertiary level trade qualifications within an associated discipline. Additionally, you will be a confident team player that has a passion for identifying and driving change and enjoys working within a team environment. You will possess extensive associated experience coupled with an ability to prioritise, plan and organise your workload and timeframes with a strong attention to detail. The successful candidate will have high level understanding of ERP/MRP maintenance planning software coupled with an ability to read and understand technical information, data and drawings
