Working with Air New Zealand as its trusted asset management partner, Babcock is delivering a customised and innovative asset management solution to drive reliability and efficiency improvements of equipment and provide significant long-term capability and cost benefits.

In order to support the introduction and ongoing delivery of this contract we now have an exciting opportunity for a Planner & Scheduler to join our team based in the Adelaide CBD

About the Role

The Planner and Scheduler is responsible for processing the asset management and maintenance planning and scheduling data within our computerised maintenance management systems and ensuring the maintenance planning and scheduling information that we produce and publish is accurate and compliant.

Key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Perform all duties in line with Babcock and client Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality management policies and procedures.

  • Utilise all available business systems tools and technology available to streamline data processing tasks.

  • Perform maintenance planning and scheduling tasks by following the instructions that are given to you and with reference to the relevant user guides and procedure manuals where available.

  • Create accurate data entries within all of our computerised maintenance management systems.

  • Develop and maintain all Standard Jobs, PM Actions and PM Action Replacements relevant to the approved maintenance engineering strategy in line with all legislative and regulatory requirements, OEM guidelines (where available) and / or National or International Standards.

  • Ensure all new and amended standard jobs are approved and signed off in line with the approved process and delegated personnel as appointed by the Head of Asset Management /  Engineer..

  • Forecast and load level all planned maintenance activities in advance and continually in order to balance resource demand, operational demand and fleet availability.

  • Perform the monthly Calendar Generation or Condition Generation of PM work orders

  • Optimise the PM schedule each month for the following month by analysing the future dated PM actions that may have fallen out of sync.

  • Prepare the monthly PM work order packages for each port / site and distribute to the relevant client representatives for review and validation. 

  • Analyse all data sources to identify and correct errors and perform root cause failure analysis to prevent a reoccurrence of the root cause of failure.

  • Deliver ongoing support to urgent requests and manage time effectively and efficiently.

About You

This role will align with a degree or trade qualified and experienced Planner & Scheduler that has demonstrable experience within the commercial aviation, manufacturing, engineering or asset management sectors. You will be a confident team player with a passion for identifying and driving change, and someone that enjoys managing, leading and developing members of your team. You will have exceptional time management and organisational skills coupled with an ability to prioritise, plan and organise your workload with a strong attention to detail. A strong background in data analysis and an ability to write in VBA within excel will be highly regarded.
