Career Opportunity – HSEQ Advisor

An exciting opportunity exists for a HSEQ Advisor to join our growing HSEQ team to support our Land and Marine divisions on matters concerning health, safety and environment. This role will be based in our new Regional Head Office based in Adelaide CBD; with regular travel required to our operations across Australasia.

The key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Drive and enhance the HSE culture and performance through the implementation of HSE, systems, initiatives, projects, policies and procedures.

  • Continuously demonstrate a personal commitment to Environment, Health and Safety Policies and Standards to achieve a workplace free from incidents, discrimination and harassment.

  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment for ourselves, each other and our contractors.

  • Assist all sites in drafting, reviewing and implementing hazard identification, operational risk assessments and HSE procedures.

  • Support sites to ensure that emergency plans, procedures and programs are established, compliant and tested through structured exercise.

  • Implement training and education programs as established in the HSE strategy; including training employees in our HSE procedures and systems.

  • Work alongside department leads to promote safety throughout Babcock.

About You

The successful candidate will enjoy working in a complex organisation within a close knit, and well regarded team within our organisation; with the following experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar safety role; with defence, engineering, manufacturing, mining or oil and gas experience highly regarded

  • Well-developed report writing and presentation skills

  • Certificate IV in Work, Health and Safety

  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment

  • Formal investigation training such as ICAM
