About the opportunity
As Babcock Australasia continues to grow its market share in the region, we are seeking to engage an exceptional HR Manager in a newly created position to join the People & Performance team. This position will report to the Director of People Performance & Safety, and have primary responsibility for supporting major campaigns and mobilisation of new programs across our business.
The HR Manager will partner with the Managing Directors and Campaign Leads, to contribute to our campaign submission documents to ensure an optimised organisation design, capability acquisition solution, and mobilisation strategy, while coaching the leads to develop and maintain an engaged and high performing team culture. The role will support a number of campaigns at any time, have accountability for the effective transition of the mobilisation of the workforce in new contracts to the HR Business Partners embedded in the Business Units. This role will work in partnership with our Talent team, and play an integral role in maturing our approach to workforce planning and talent acquisition and development to meet our significant growth forecast.
The successful candidate for this position will have experience in a position of this level, with demonstrable skills and qualification as outlined below;
Depth of knowledge in creating environments for teams to be high performing
Strong experience in coaching and partnering with leaders
Tertiary Qualification in Human Resources Management or related discipline
Proven People & Culture experience ideally in an engineering, construction, manufacturing or infrastructure environment.
Knowledge and experience of workforce planning
Strong knowledge and experience in talent and capability development
