ERP and Systems Accountant

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced ERP & Systems Accountant to join our high performing Business Solutions (Information Technology) and Finance team based in our state of the art Australasian Headquarters in Adelaide. The ERP & Systems Accountant position will provide support to the ERP platforms used throughout Australasia and across all contracts and operations.
In order to succeed in this role, you will be able to:
Support the finance function in implementation of ERP systems for existing and new business units;
Ensure financial controls are established and maintained
Analyse, Identify and implement improvement initiatives to current processes.
Proactively engage in system implementation teams to ensure financial processes and procedures are established
Understand operational requirements for system implementation and ensure appropriate financial processes are established;
Build testing procedures and ensure appropriate documentation of testing; to work with all other teams within Babcock IT department as required in the support of applications
Produce support documentation as required
Creation of financial reports to suit financial and operations requirements
This role will align with an experienced cross-functional Business Solutions/Finance professional that has a proven record of accomplishment of delivery within a complex environment and will have supporting degree level qualifications within accounting or commerce . Additionally you will be a confident team player that has a passion for identifying and driving change and enjoys working within a team environment but can also work autonomously as required. You will have exceptional time management and organisational experience coupled with an ability to prioritise, plan and organise your workload and timeframes with a strong attention to detail. The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of ERP systems development and have strong knowledge of report writing using SQL, Crystal, Qlikview and/or Business Analytics, Power BI.
