Babcock Mission Critical Services Australasia Pty Ltd is seeking expressions of interest from qualified Multi Engine Pilots for future vacancies at our Mackay Base. This position will support CQ Rescue in the provision of Emergency Medical Services and Search and Rescue using a Bell 412 Helicopter.


Although this position is classified as fixed base at Mackay, the successful candidate may be required to fill temporary shortages across all bases they are qualified to fill.


The successful candidate must have:

  • CPL and prepared to qualify for ATPL-H

  • Instrument rating – Multi-engine Helicopter (IR MEH)

  • >100 hours instrument flying

  • >2,500 hours total – Helicopter

  • >1,500 hours – Pilot in Command Helicopter

  • >400 hours – Multi-engine Helicopter

  • >100 hours – Night

  • >10 hours B412

  • >5 hours night B412

  • NVIS rating

  • NVFR rating


Desirable Requirements:

  • Previous EMS/ SAR experience

  • Low level winching

  • HUET and DG qualifications

  • Previous experience in vessels transfers

  • Significant single pilot IFR experience


International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
