We currently have an engaging and newly created opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Electronics Engineer to join our high performing Land team based in our state of the art Australasian Headquarters in the Adelaide CBD.

In order to succeed in this role, you will be able to:

  • Establish needs, requirements and specifications for new equipment acquisitions, business systems and processes.

  • Deliver high quality solutions that meet customers’ expectations and comply with contractual obligations.

  • Provide a structured approach relating to needs analysis, problem definition, requirements analysis/definition, systems design and verification/validation of solutions.

  • Provide support to project teams for systems engineering issues.

  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation throughout engagement with the business and customer.

  • Support and develop technical engineering and compliance processes to ensure integration with all operational areas.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant WHS and associated technical legislation.

  • Ensure integrity of data held on the business IT systems and system development as determined by contractual need.

  • Maintain an awareness of industry 'best practice' and provide regular updates to the business and customers of news and developments within the industry sectors.

About You

Babcock are seeking an experienced electronic engineering professional that has a proven record of accomplishment and development within a complex technical environment and will have supporting degree level qualification. Additionally, you will be a confident team player that has a passion for identifying and driving change and enjoys working within a team environment. You will have exceptional time management and organisational experience coupled with an ability to prioritise, plan and organise your workload and timeframes with a strong attention to detail. The successful candidate will ideally have working experience or a strong Interest in Internet of Things (IoT) and aligned applications.
