We currently have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Accountant to support the finance team as required by performing various duties associated with financial operations and reporting in a timely and accurate manner.
You will be provided strong supervision and on the job training toward:
· Preparing and submitting weekly Short Term Cash Forecast;
· Assisting in month end procedures and management reporting (on-time and accurate);
· Co-ordination of the completion of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations;
· Assisting in preparation and completion of tax returns (BAS, Corporate Tax and FBT);
· Assisting in Quarterly Budget preparations;
· The review and follow-up of procurement/expenditure support and accounting treatment;
· Assisting in preparation of Annual Financial Statements;
· Collating and completing ABS submissions;
· Ad-hoc duties to support the finance function as required and as commensurate with skills and experience
This role will align with a graduate accountant starting their career who is considering becoming a CA or CPA or is near qualified. Are you an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with a passion for numbers and a high level of attention to detail? You will bring to this challenging role within a busy office environment, your accounting experience along with your well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
Additionally you will be a confident team player that enjoys working within a team environment but can also work autonomously as required. You will have strong time management and organisational skills coupled with an ability to prioritise, plan and organise your workload and timeframes with a strong attention to detail and passion for learning.
