Naval Ship Management (NSM) is a Joint Venture between Babcock and UGL and currently has an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced Stores Person to join the NSM team based in Henderson.
The Warehouse Stores person plays a key role in the effective operation of the NSM Logistics function. The role contributes to best practice warehousing within the Henderson facility through timely coordination of all deliveries, despatches, storing and disposals of all inventory;
To be the successful candidate for this position you will require the following experience:
Receipt all inwards freight delivered into a warehouse environment;
Issue all inventory as required by the customer;
Facilitate all outwards freight despatched from a warehouse facility;
Maintain an Inwards and Outwards freight register for the warehouse facility;
Stage/Stow all inventory that is required to be held in a warehouse facility;
Ensure that all inventory held is stored in accordance with current warehousing conventions;
Maintain up to date bin locations of inventory held ensuring the appropriate systems and processes
Facilitating Non-technical, objective quality assurance tests and recording results
Management System (MILIS, SAP or Excel) to be updated daily;
Staging Government and Contractor Furnished Equipment (GFE/CFE) and Defence Inventory functionally for issue to the end customer
This role will align with an experienced Warehouse Operator or Stores Person that has a proven track record of delivery within a fast paced engineering environment. Additionally you will be a confident team player that has a passion for identifying opportunities to improve and enjoys working within a team environment but can also work autonomously as required. You will have exceptional time management and organisational experience coupled with an ability to prioritise, plan and organise your work load and timeframes with a strong attention to detail. The successful candidate will have high level computer skills and have a proven ability to adapt and learn new systems and processes quickly. Additionally you will hold a current forklift and driving licence.
