Senior Systems Engineer

We currently have an exciting newly created full time permanent opportunity for experienced and professional Senior Systems Engineer to join our high performing marine team in Osborne.
About the Role
Reporting to the Engineering Team Lead the Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for providing system engineering support to the marine business unit and the greater business for both existing contracts and new opportunities.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Guidance for specification, design and integration activities to ensure an informed and consistent approach to systems development and verification.
- Reviewing designated engineering documentation and ensure it meets specifications for delivery.
- Focus on the management and control of the integration activities required for project deliverables.
- Analysis of requirements and development of requirements specification documentation.
- Requirements decomposition.
- Development of Requirements verification activities
This role will align with an experienced Systems Engineer that has a proven track record of delivery within a defence, logistics, manufacturing or technical engineering organisation. You will be experienced within a technical engineering environment and this exposure will be supported by a degree qualification within an associated discipline. You will have an excellent interpersonal and analytical skill set, be a confident team player that has a passion for identifying and driving change and enjoys working within a team environment but can also work autonomously as required. You will have exceptional time management and organisational experience coupled with an ability to prioritise, plan and organise your work load and timeframes with a strong attention to detail. The successful candidate will have high level computer skills and have a proven ability to adapt and learn new systems and processes quickly. Familiarity of Naval Technical Regulatory Framework and Seaworthiness regulations would be an advantage
The successful candidate must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance
