Project Control Coordinator

We currently have an exciting newly created and full time permanent opportunity for an experienced and professional Project Control Coordinator to join our high performing marine team based in Osborne.
About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager this role will be responsible for supporting the implementation and administration of the project control system through the use of specialised software tools.
The roles responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following areas:
Establish and administer project specific Earned Value Management System in accordance with AS 4817 and company specific requirements;
Generate and issue internal and external reporting requirements according to the cost/schedule reporting cycle;
Maintaining the status of cost accounts;
Interface with other Project Managers and greater team to maintain project forecasts and coordinate budget allocation on a weekly/monthly basis;
Develop and maintain project baselines and create project metrics to ensure resource availability and that projects are delivered on time and on budget to the agreed scope;
Coordinate the internal reviews and produce weekly labour and monthly Contract Status Reports in order to support the Project Manager to generate the Quarterly Contract Review reports;
Attend and participate in Measurement Planning Workshops.
This role will align with an experienced Project Controller that has high level experience within a technical engineering environment within the minerals, manufacturing or defence sector. You will be tertiary qualified in Finance, Project Management or an associated discipline and accreditation to AIPM would be highly regarded. You will possess excellent interpersonal and analytical skills and have a passion for identify and implementing improvement opportunities and have exposure to change management principles. Additionally you will be a confident team player that enjoys working within a team environment but can also work autonomously as required. You will have exceptional time management and organisational experience coupled with an ability to prioritise, plan and organise your work load and timeframes with a strong attention to detail. The successful candidate will have high level Microsoft Excel skills and have a proven ability to adapt and learn new systems and processes quickly.
Successful candidate must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
