People and Culture Officer

Naval Ship Management (NSM) is a Joint Venture between Babcock and UGL and currently has an exciting newly created opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced People & Culture Officer to join the NSM based in Henderson, Western Australia.

The People and Culture Officer is responsible for applying their well-developed P&C coordination skills to deliver high quality services and support to the People & Culture Manager (P&C Manager) and all internal and external stakeholders with experience in:

  • On boarding and off boarding activities;

  • Providing guidance, support, and confidential advice to employees and managers, whilst ensuring compliance with P&C policies and procedures;

  • End to end recruitment support including screening and interviewing of candidates and administration ensuring that all systems and process are up to date and correct at all times;

  • Performance management support;

  • Providing administration support to the P&C annual lifecycle of key activities including performance appraisals, professional development and talent management.

To be the successful candidate for this position you will require the following qualifications and experience:

  • Diploma or Tertiary-qualified in Human Resources or completing studies in this space

  • Experience in an HR Administration or HR co-ordination role;

  • Experience with the implementing and administration e-System platforms (desirable)

  • SAP experience (desirable)

  • Current driver’s licence
