We currently have an exciting flexible hours/part-time permanent opportunity for an experienced and professional Facilities Coordinator to join our high performing Corporate Services team. This newly created position will be based in our state-of-the-art Australasian headquarters in the Adelaide CBD and will be responsible for the management of all facilities related functions for our Babcock Australasia Regional Support Centre and all of our South Australian operations sites.
About the Role
The position of Facilities Coordinator will be responsible for delivering optimal facilities management and coordination services to Babcock’s Adelaide Regional Support Centre and all facilities within South Australia. This new position will be responsible for the coordination and internal and external communications of all day to day and contractual activities relating to the ongoing maintenance, compliance and upkeep of Babcock’s facilities
The areas of responsibility will include, but not be limited to:
Facilitate the provision of all building and site related services Maintain all facilities documentation, floor plans and related procedures
Ensure all procedures are developed and adhered to as required by lease and contractual agreements
Lead all activities in relation to site emergency plans and site induction activities to ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements
Responsibility for site security to ensure both safety and compliance to defence site security accreditation requirements
Review and negotiate external maintenance suppliers contracts and manage contractor performance
Carry out inspections, audits, reporting and database management
The successful candidate will be a service driven, professional and a confident team player who considers going above and beyond to be the rule rather than the exception. You will have a proven ability to influence and collaborate with all parties to achieve outcomes that can be demonstrated by previous experience in a similar role in facilities management and/or coordination Additionally you will have exceptional time management skills characterised by the ability to prioritise, plan and organise your work load and timeframes without compromising attention to detail and service delivery. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels of the business and with all internal and external stakeholders are considered to be essential in order to be successful in this position. The successful candidate will be proficient in MS Office skills and have a proven ability to adapt and learn new systems and processes.
