About the role:

As a Configuration Engineer within the Centre of Engineering, you will undertake assessment of the configuration of RNZN equipment and its technical information against extant standards and regulatory requirements.  You will be key to maintaining and improving equipment configuration throughout the equipment lifecycle.

As part of the In-service Design Authority, the outputs of the Critical Safety Items Management Team provides relevant advice, guidance and sets requirements to meet the needs of our customers. You will be predominantly office based, but will be expected to visit and work with all stakeholders through the supply chain and the RNZN Fleet within the shipyard.

About You:

We are looking for engineers with a strong Configuration; Quality Assurance and Quality Control experience to join our Critical Safety Items Management Team.  You will be able to demonstrate experience to meet the following requirements:

  • Knowledge of engineering and configuration management practices

  • Experience of engineering and safety systems

  • Experience in operating in Quality Assurance / Quality Control environments

  • Experience of technical database and maintenance management systems

  • Sound analytical and report writing skills
