Business Performance Analyst

Babcock is presently delivering an exciting and diverse contract to support the Qantas Group's fleet of Ground Support Equipment (GSE), which comprises more than 10,000 assets spread across 60 locations across Australia including Qantas' domestic, regional, freight, catering and engineering operations, as well as Jetstar. Working with Qantas as its trusted asset management partner, Babcock is delivering a customised and innovative asset management solution to drive reliability and efficiency improvements of equipment and provide significant long term capability and cost benefits.
To support this partnership with an iconic Australian company, Babcock is now seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and qualified Business Performance Analyst in Sydney.
About the role:
Reporting to the Group GSE Finance Manager the Business Performance Analyst is required to provide critical support to the Finance Manager and in areas of operational performance & financial reporting, to support the GSE management team.
The Business Performance Analyst will support the team in a variety of areas, including:
Extracting, analysing and interpreting data sets from multiple information sources and presenting the information in various reporting formats including management reports, customer reports, performance dashboards and scorecards;
Support and enhance a business culture of continuous improvement through the identification, measurement, analysis and control of business performance metrics and trends;
Month end responsibilities including performing reconciliations and assisting with financial reporting deliverables;
Monitor data integrity and correct usage of the asset management system; and
Support wider GSE business functions including Contract Performance, Operations, Supply Chain, Health & Safety, Finance and HR with reporting and data requirements.
The successful candidate for this position will have similar experience in a position of this level, with demonstrable skills and qualification as outlined below;
Ability to analyse data, identify relevant commercial issues, and present data and findings accurately in a clear, user friendly format for different stakeholders;
Ability to understand technical and complex systems;
Ability to confidently communicate and support different people within GSE;
Able to plan own day to day work and meet deadlines set;
Capable of working independently or as part of a team;
